Dwarves are like people, except they're exceptionally long-lived, hold everything to be communally owned, naturally altruistic, with deep moral convictions.
Not quite like people, then. Different crimes, different motives, and a very different courtroom.
In the criminal justice system, dwarves are represented by a single important figure: a judge, who leads the investigation of a crime, then makes a verdict about the case using all the facts available to them. These are their stories.
